Victoria Baths

Victoria Baths is a beautifully restored, Grade II Edwardian swimming complex on Hathersage Road, built in 1906. Originally known as the “water palace,” it stopped pool operations in 1993 but has since been lovingly preserved by the Victoria Baths Trust. While the pools remain mostly ornamental, the site hosts guided tours, cultural events, exhibitions, film screenings, weddings, and occasional open-swim days, making it a historic and social anchor in Manchester’s heritage scene
