Description

Fletcher Moss Park & Botanical Gardens, nestled in Didsbury, Manchester, is a cherished 21-acre sanctuary combining lush gardens, diverse wildlife, and rich history. Donated to the city by Alderman Fletcher Moss in 1919, the park features the renowned Rockery, a south-facing alpine garden established by botanist Robert Wood Williamson and the historic Old Parsonage, now a vibrant community arts centre. Visitors can explore meadows, woodlands, and riverside trails, enjoy tennis courts, and relax at the family-run Alpine Tearoom. The park also holds significance as the birthplace of the RSPB, founded by Emily Williamson in 1889. With its blend of natural beauty and community spirit, Fletcher Moss Park offers a delightful retreat for all ages. A cafe is also available in the park.
