What is Linkar?

Linkar is a real-world connection platform designed to help people discover events, spaces, and experiences in their local area. Whether you’re looking to meet new people, host something meaningful, or find a venue, Linkar makes it easy to connect offline.

 

Is Linkar free to use?

Yes. Anyone can browse listings and request to attend events for free. Businesses and hosts can also create listings at no cost. Optional paid plans may be introduced in future for added features and exposure.

 

Where is Linkar currently available?

We’re currently launching in Manchester, UK, with plans to expand nationally. Users in other cities can still access and post events, but curated listings will initially be Manchester-based.

 

Attending Events

 

How do I request to attend an event?

Simply click “Request to Attend” on an event page, fill in your name, email, and message, and submit. Your request will be sent to the event organiser.

 

Does requesting to attend guarantee entry?

No. All requests are reviewed manually by the event host, and entry is not guaranteed. However the system is designed to not have barriers so most events are a show up and participate, some events may require payment and this will be stipulated in the description. 

 

By submitting a request, am I agreeing to anything?

Yes. By submitting the form, you agree to Linkar’s Terms of Use, which cover conduct, liability, and expectations around attending real-world events.

 

Hosting Events

 

Can I host my own event?

Yes. Anyone can create and publish an event through the platform, provided the event complies with our Terms of Use. You must ensure the information is accurate and that you have permission to host at the listed location.

 

Is there a cost to host events?

No. Creating listings is currently free. 

 

How do I edit or remove my event?

Log in to your Linkar account, go to “My Listings”, and select the event you want to edit or delete.

 

Can I manage RSVPs or ticketing?

Right now, you can manage requests manually through the platform’s contact form. Advanced RSVP or ticketing functionality will be added in a future update.

 

Safety and Community Guidelines

 

Is it safe to meet people through Linkar?

Your safety is our priority. We recommend: Meeting in public spaces. Letting someone know where you’re going. Trusting your instincts. Reviewing our full Safety Guidelines.

 

What if I feel unsafe or experience a problem?

Leave the situation immediately and contact emergency services if needed. Then, report the issue to Linkar at info@linkar.co.uk so we can investigate.

 

Can I report users or hosts?

Yes. You can report any user, listing, or incident through the contact form or by emailing us directly. We review all reports seriously and take appropriate action.

 

Accounts and Access

 

Do I need an account to use Linkar?

Browsing the platform is free, but you’ll need an account to request to attend events, host listings, or contact others.

 

How do I reset my password?

Click “Forgot Password” on the sign in page. A secure reset link will be emailed to you.

 

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Contact us at info@linkar.co.uk and we’ll delete your account and any data associated with it.

 

For Business Spaces and Venues

 

Can I list my business or space on Linkar?

Yes. Cafes, studios, gyms, galleries, wellness spaces, and more can be listed as venues that welcome real-world interaction. We prioritise listings that help foster meaningful in-person experiences.

 

How do I get featured?

We’re currently selecting a limited number of early spaces in Manchester. If you’d like to be featured, get in touch at info@linkar.co.uk and we’ll consider your space for curation.

 

Can I use Linkar as a way to attract new customers?

Absolutely. Linkar helps drive community footfall, visibility, and discovery for local businesses. We also promote standout spaces through social media and platform features.

 

Technical and Support

 

My event submission form isn’t working. What do I do?

Ensure all required fields are filled out. If you’re still having trouble, clear your cache or contact us at info@linkar.co.uk.

 

I submitted a listing but it doesn’t show up. Why?

New listings are subject to approval. You’ll receive an email once your listing is approved.

 

How do I change the email where my listing requests are sent?

Listing requests go to the email associated with your Linkar account. You can change it in your account settings.

 

Can I use Linkar on my phone?

Yes. Linkar is fully responsive and works seamlessly on all devices. A mobile app is currently in development.
