Description
The Working Class Movement Library (WCML) is a unique archive and cultural space dedicated to documenting over 200 years of working-class activism, protest, and social change. Founded in the 1950s by Ruth and Edmund Frow, the library now resides in Jubilee House, a striking red-brick former nurses’ home opposite the University of Salford.
Beyond its extensive collections of books, pamphlets, photographs, and ephemera, WCML serves as a vibrant community hub. Visitors can engage with rotating exhibitions, attend events, or join guided tours, fostering conversations that bridge generations and backgrounds. Whether you're a researcher, activist, or curious passerby, the library offers a welcoming space to connect over shared histories and aspirations.
